Each child is unique and innately curious. Education must cultivate this curiosity to prepare a child for her future. She should be encouraged to ask questions and learn how to access and analyze information, especially on topics of interest. If an answer is not easy to find, she needs to learn how to use her own strengths and skills to solve a problem. Solving problems should include the elements of creation, imagination, and play both individually and collaboratively with others. By experiencing these in a variety of situations, a child can learn to be adaptable to her environment and communicate her thoughts effectively to others. Hopefully, she will be willing to learn from others. For learning to flourish, curiosity must be aroused and cultivated. If education includes the elements mentioned here, a child’s curiosity will be stimulated and her ability to be motivated to learn by interaction with others will increase.
